It was constructed on artificial terraces at the foot of the <strong>Nauplia<\/strong> <strong>cliff<\/strong>, in the highest point of the city.<\/p>\n<p>The sacred area (<strong>temenos<\/strong>) was shaped like an <strong>irregular trapezium<\/strong> (measuring approx. 190 x 130 m) and was surrounded by a wall (<strong>peribolos<\/strong>) made from irregular stone blocks.
